Today in Washtenaw County, thousands of children are at risk because their families can’t afford quality early education, proper nourishment, and other basic needs.
Due to certain risk factors, these children may not be adequately prepared for kindergarten. Consequently, they may experience difficulty throughout their lives; in school, employment status, and relationships. Foundations Preschool is committed to supporting children and families by providing tools to increase their chances for future success. Our myriad of support services for children and families are made available thanks to our generous donors.
Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
Donate Now
Donate to Current Areas of Critical Need
A gift today will:
Provide scholarships for families so children can receive a high-quality education at reduced or free rates
Nourish children’s bodies and minds so they can flourish
Tribute Gift
Tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to honor or remember a loved one or show gratitude for a notable achievement in your or someone else’s life. A memorial gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one who has passed away by making a contribution in their name. An honor gift (in honor of) is a way to mark special occasions (anniversaries, birthdays, graduations) or to pay tribute to an individual who has made a difference in your life. When you make a tribute gift, Foundations Preschool will send a letter to the family members or person you are recognizing, acknowledging your thoughtful gift.
Wish Lists
In addition to monetary contributions, Foundations Preschool accepts new items that help the children and families we serve. When making a donation of goods or services, please complete our Gift In Kind form and bring it with your donation. All items are to be new.
Gift a Wish 2024
As a part of our Parent Empowerment Program, we strive to ensure that all parents can purchase toys and clothing that they know will make their children happy. After all, it’s the parent who knows best how to bring a smile to their little one’s face! During the Holiday Season, we partner with community organizations, businesses, and individuals to provide gift cards to our families.

Endowment Fund
There are three pieces to the financial stability puzzle:
Proper management of day-to-day financial operations
Year after year, Foundations Preschool sets realistic budgetary goals and the audited financial operations yield positive results.
Endowment Fund
The time has come to complete the financial stability puzzle. An endowment fund will allow us to endure a stable source of funding for the future of our organization.
Healthy financial reserves
Foundations Preschool has surpassed the recommended reserve of a 3-6 month financial cushion. This is short-term protection in the event of an emergency.
